Valentine's Foods - White Chocolate Covered Berries

I love chocolate covered strawberries, but decided to switch things up for this Valentine's treat.  A semi-healthy snack of red berries covered in a thin coat of white chocolate.

First I melted the chocolate.  While the chocolate was melting, I rinsed the berries and put them on a paper towel on a plate.

Once the chocolate was melted, I placed the berries in the chocolate a couple at a time, turned them so they were covered in chocolate, and then removed them from the chocolate on to a wax paper-lined baking sheet and refrigerated them to cool and harden the chocolate.

White Chocolate Covered Berries
Ingredients:
White Chocolate (I used a bag of Ghirardelli's White Melting Chocolates)
Berries (I used red raspberries, strawberries, and cherries)

Steps:
1.  Melt chocolate and rinse berries.
2.  Coat berries in chocolate and place on a wax paper-lined baking sheet in the refrigerator until chocolate cools and hardens.

Valentine's Foods - Heart-Shaped Fruit Kabobs

Want an easy and healthy snack for Valentine's Day?  Why not a fruit kabob with the fruits cut out in hearts.

All I did was cut some watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew into slices and use my heart-shape cookie cutter to cut them into hearts.

Then I pushed a bamboo kabob stick through 5 hearts to make a fun fruit kabob.

Honey Dew

Steps:

Easy Fruit Salad (Mixed Fruit)

Fruit salad is a great side dish to round out any meal by adding fruits to it. I decided to add a fruit salad to our lunch the other day and decided to mix together some of the different fruits I had. I wanted to keep it healthy and didn't want to make a sauce or dressing for it, so I just left it as just a mixed fruit bowl, but the juices of all of the fruits ended up mixing together and making a nice dressing on its own.

Easy Fruit Salad (Mixed Fruit)
Ingredients:
-1 cup fresh blueberries
-2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
-6 kiwis, quartered and sliced
-4 bananas, sliced

Steps:
1. Cut fruits and mix in a bowl together.
